It's been a while since I baked, so my friend came over to make some vanilla cupcakes from Buddy's (TLC's "Cake Boss") cook book. I used Kosher salt instead of sea salt and I probably won't be doing that again. Other than that the cupcakes turned out fantastic. Using home made marshmallow fondant, home made buttercream frosting, and toasted coconut shavings I was able to come up with a few really cute designs. Here is a closer look:
